Lip Dauphine - 18-carat yellow gold watch

The Lip Dauphine is among the most iconic collections of the Besançon manufacture. Launched in the 1950s, it accompanied Lip’s rise and helped French watchmaking shine far beyond its borders. Elegant, slim, and accessible, the Dauphine quickly became one of the most appreciated watches of its generation.

This example is particularly remarkable. Preserved in near-new condition, it comes with its original tag, its original gold-plated Lip buckle, as well as its period strap. A set that has become extremely rare more than fifty years after it was marketed.

Its sunburst silver dial, combined with its case entirely made of 18-carat gold, gives it a discreet and timeless elegance. Inside is the Lip manufacture caliber R017 with manual winding and date, a movement developed and produced in Besançon during one of the brand’s most prestigious periods.
