Movado - Triple Calendar Watch 4820 in yellow gold

Between 1938 and 1954, Movado was one of the few houses to produce fully in-house triple calendar watches. Reference 4820 is its most accomplished expression.

Round 18K yellow gold case, 35 mm, cow horn lugs and a gadrooned caseband. The two-tone silvered dial displays the day and the month in apertures, here in French, “JEU” and “FEV,” and the date by a red auxiliary hand. Small seconds at 6 o’clock. Applied yellow gold Arabic numerals and arrow indexes. The whole branded Movado on the dial, case, and movement.

The Movado manufacture calibre 475 is a highly reliable manual-winding movement. Two pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock allow quick correction of the day and month.
